Clumpity clump clump

I'm not sure what it says about me that it's not at all an unusual occurrence to pour milk on my cereal only to have it come out in clumps. I'm innocent of this most recent charge, though! This time I don't think it was even two weeks in the fridge!

Actually, I've got a pretty good idea what it does say about me, I just don't really care.

  1. Ewww Wendy! Doesn't it say on the milk containter "best if consumed within 7 days of opening"?

  2. Gross!! You may want to consider implementing the smell test so you don't ruin your cereal. Or perhaps in your case, the visual clump test. Seriously - you wonder why your stomach doesn't feel very good sometimes?! I think I know why - old milk!! :) I agree w/ Mavis that 7 days is max.

  3. Does it really say that? Hmm, good to know. I agree though- I've implemented the visual clump test (VCT for those in the know). I think you may be onto the stomach thing :)

  4. I have almost an irrational fear of spoiled milk. If the carton has been open for 3 days or more, I always smell it before I pour. If it's gotten to 6 days I will either let my husband finish off the carton or I'll pour it out.
